So it's been a rough weekend.
On Friday, the Chancellor shared a photo of our tea. Politicians do that sometimes (Jeremy Corbyn did it in 2017). We weren't asked or involved - and we said so the same day. Lots of people got angry with us all the same.
@piersmorgan
Very likely not what happened. More likely: co-ordinated response agreed, Scotland announce early (as usual...) and journalists lap it up and praise Scotland 🙄
Looking back to when Rishi Sunak became Prime Minister. It’s hard to argue that he hasn’t achieved what he set out to in providing stability for the economy.
In 2008 a Republican voter said she didn’t trust Obama because “he’s an Arab”. Listen to McCain’s response and then imagine what Trump would have said

The International Space Station is a great reminder of humanity’s capacity for achievement when we cooperate and work towards a shared goal, regardless of nationality or ethnicity 🌎🚀

Theresa May is a decent, hardworking and patriotic leader who deserves credit. She was handed an impossible task. I hope history isn’t too unfair on her
👏👏👏
Piers,
When you’re clapping for the NHS this evening, please also show your appreciation for TEACHERS who are playing a vital role.
@ChilternA
are churning out 180 visors a day for the NHS, but need supplies!
@piersmorgan
I was a youth worker for over twenty years.
So I’ve seen London’s problems — and I’ve seen London’s potential.
I know that together we can make London safer, greener and more affordable.
That’s why I’m standing for Mayor.
Take a look at my video for more.
Here's my inside story on Tottenham Hotspur's historic night in Amsterdam and how they reached the Champions League final. This is a bit of a long read but hopefully it'll take you back and let you know what happened on & off the pitch on a special night.
Gutted that Dybala deal is off. Just when it looked like Levy was showing ambition to take Spurs to next level. I suspect Juve will sell Mandzukic to Man Utd and therefore want to keep Dybala around 😢

Yes, possibly. But the likelihood is that the new stadium is going to be fully sold-out until well into the season. This will give non-season ticket holders a chance to get into the new stadium, as well as providing a boost to the women's team. I think Spurs have missed a trick.
@OwenJones84
If you’re saying you’re incapable of celebrating progress and success once in a while because injustices still exist, I fear you’re going to be stuck in your perpetual state of misery for some time!
I'm delighted to have my name added to the
@Conservatives
' list of approved parliamentary candidates. It would be a huge honour and privilege to serve as an MP and to stand up for the things I believe in; world-class public services, opportunities for everyone, pro-enterprise 🇬🇧
It is hard to find the words to express my debt to the NHS for saving my life.
The efforts of millions of people across this country to stay home are worth it. Together we will overcome this challenge, as we have overcome so many challenges in the past.

is a fascinating watch. Very lucky to have visited the exclusion zone a couple of years ago. A stark reminder of the perils of secrecy and cover-up.
20 years since Daniel Levy took over as chairman of Spurs. Wrote this profile of Levy last summer, looking at his rise to the chairmanship in his 30s, the state of the club he inherited, how the club is now worth 25x what it was back then, and what next.
@OwenJones84
Owen, you're a smart chap. Are you seriously comparing elections, two decades apart and in different parts of the country to try and make your point? This is absurd
Mum and dad moving house so dug out some old bits and bobs. I remember meeting the local MP at
@robertbms
- probably my first exposure to politics. And a sports day certificate from 2003 signed by

!
One day Labour are going to bite the bullet and realise someone like Jess Phillips might just be the person to reshape the political narrative in their favour, rather than yet another identikit white, middle-class, liberal man from North London.
If we do end up without a

deal, spare a thought for the grafting, hard-working, risk-taking small businesses that have worked so hard to get this far, only to see their margins slashed pretty much overnight 🇬🇧🇪🇺
The Welsh parliament is sitting. Scottish parliament is sitting. It should be PMQs today but PM is in hiding & the Qs are simply being ignored. Because they can be. A stage-managed press conference fronted by Gove - Gove! - cannot stand in for democratic accountability
Speaking to BBC News with

@maryannemarsh
about how Israel’s domestic politics could lead to an escalation of hostilities, which will concern both Downing Street and the White House.
BREAKING. BBC Understands that no other member of the Royal Family was consulted before Harry and Meghan issued their personal statement tonight, the Palace is understood to be ‘disappointed’.
@allisonpearson
You’ve hit the nail on the head. Countries with more advanced healthcare systems (such as UK) have a greater proportion of vulnerable and at-risk people. In countries with lesser health systems, sadly the ill are already dead
This is a great suggestion from
@BimAfolami
. A £15bn 'Recovery Fund' with discounted shares issued to frontline NHS workers and young people. Glad to see my MP thinking about the long-term and coming up with practical solutions
I'd never seen this clip, or heard this story, before this evening.
Joe Biden hugging Corey Hixon at the funeral of his father, Chris Hixon.
Chris was a teacher who died in a school shooting, attempting to disarm the gunman.
Good luck to Flamengo in tonight’s

final. Lucky to catch them in a group game at the Maracanã back in April. Amazing atmosphere 🇧🇷
For years, Labour have been tabling superfluous amendments for things that are already covered in legislation elsewhere. They only do this to spread fake stories and say “look, the nasty Tories voted against XYZ”. The reality is much different.
Erasmus+ participation is protected under the Withdrawal Agreement and we are open to participation in the new Erasmus successor programme from 2021- this will be part of future relationship negotiations with the EU once the scheme has been finalised
I did not want him but accepted and backed him as he was our new manager. Out of the Europa League after throwing away a 2-0 lead against one of the lowest ranked sides left with their coach in Prison, out of the FA Cup, 8th in the Premier League, Enough is Enough

VAR needs to go. So many goals ruled out because of fractional offsides. If it isn’t “clear and obvious” and the ref/lino are content, let it stand!

Billionaire philanthropists like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet have done more to eradicate poverty than Corbyn’s twisted and dangerous policies ever could
There are 150 billionaires in the UK while 14 million people live in poverty.
In a fair society there would be no billionaires and no one would live in poverty.
