This Christmas, children will suffer sudden, severe neuropsychiatric collapse. NHS staff must stop dismissing this and follow NHS guidance. #PansPandasHour

@Georgia_Gould Please consider reaching out to @PANSPANDASUK. It is disheartening for PANs parents to continue to feel left out of SEND rhetoric. Children with acute onset SEND need from neuropsychiatric illness face extraordinary challenges. There is a charity youth board @Jane_Harris77

Schools reward kids for: 🚩 Not being sick 🚩 Not being injured 🚩 Not being disabled 🚩 Not grieving a loved one 🚩 Not going through a crisis 🚩 Not being a child carer 🚩 Not coming from an abusive home 100% attendance awards - what a ridiculous and cruel concept.

My child has missed 3 days of school since Sept. 1x injury 2x illness He’s now exempt from all end of term rewards despite having enough house points, no sanctions and glowing reports from all teachers. If this happened in a workplace, adults could sue for discrimination.

@tombennett71 What about a child with immune mediated neuropsychiatric syndromes. Recognised by @NHSEngland but seemingly ignored by all @educationgovuk narrative.

@SteveChalke Just shows you how bad the rates of illness are right now. Have you seen the work of @CleanAir4KidsUK for campaign for HEPA filtration in schools which is shown to dramatically improve wellbeing plus the added benefit of decreasing sickness rates. @erbrooker

@JamesTitcombe In light of this week’s statement from @NHSEngland, I’m hoping that Patient Safety in 2026 includes a thought to children with @PANSPANDASUK. Many of which will be languishing in psych wards this Christmas receiving incorrect treatment.

Last yr our dd was dx with FND. She used a wheelchair for 8 months. We had to go private for a 2nd opinion. She was dx with B12 deficiency & started injections in Aug 24. In Nov she was able to walk. This is her handmade tutu for a 🎄show. FND is a thief that can steal dreams

I’m just begging you, begging you to make people aware, educate the doctors, and make sure that we finally understand that this is the time. It’s been 30 years since PANDAS was first discovered as an outgrowth of research on Sydenham Chorea—30 years

https://t.co/mDOUASUjEb Please share @BigGive . Kids with neuroinflammatory conditions should’nt have to rely on the sacrifices of parents and charity for essential care—but right now, that’s the reality. @MichaelRosenYes @RealDeniseWelch @frankcottrell_b @DrNighatArif
