Got this video sent by several people as "REAL LIFE FOOTAGE" of incident involving a Delta B-737 and an Aeromexico E-190 this week. No, this is using a flight simulator and can´t comment on how accurate it is. For now stick to @AirNavRadar and similar.

@RSE_VB As a real fighter pilot (USAF… there are no fighter pilots in the Navy), I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this trending fratricidal dispute between the various flavors of Naval aviators.

@RSE_VB No problem Mr. Erie. If memory serves right the test & live firing of the modded HAWK were piloted by one of Iran's F14 aces Fereydoun AliMazandarani. There's some sporadic info on this & some other experiments conducted during the war online. Like here:.

این خوبه :))) اون قسمتی که جنگنده یا بمب‌افکن عراقی به محض اینکه رادار اف14 پینتش کرده برگشته یا بمب‌هاش رو جتیسن کرده ریخته فرار کرده بارها اتفاق افتاده. تازه این موارد زیر رو یادشون نبوده بگن. آزمایشی هم بمب انداخته هم موشک ضدهوایی HAWK رو جای موشک هوا به هوا پرتاب کرده.

@RSE_VB The F14, so good the Blue Angels decided to stay in a 1950s platform until something better came around. Hell, they went from the flying brick to the OLDER A4. Did Cat drivers ever get to eat the bananas off the fishing pole their RIOs used to guide the airplane during debrief?.

Can’t argue about the ring-knockers. We called them AFNAGs (“Aff-Nags”). Stands for “Another F*cking Naval Academy Graduate.”.

True fact!. One of the funniest Oceana Deer Stories I ever heard (can't confirm it but it's a good one) was when a deer had gotten across the airfield into the hangar areas and was freaking out trying to escape and wildly scraping against the chain link fence in panic. It had.
@RSE_VB We used to have a deer hunt on the base every year to thin the herd. It ended in 1987 when the admiral thought it was cruel to kill them. I was at the meeting.
