A reminder that the puberty blockers trial is even less popular than voting Labour (and that's only 19%)
🚨Wes Streeting states that the reason he is pushing forward with puberty blockers trial is because “Dr Cass recommended it”. This is not proper leadership. This is spinelessly passing the buck.

I am glad that I decided that I could not any longer support the Bill. It seems clear, from this exchange, that there isn’t anything like enough of a safeguard to ensure that vulnerable people don’t chose this pathway as a result of insufficient palliative care.

Unfortunately, I’m unable to attend today’s Westminster protest against the puberty blockers trial but I’m with you all in spirit. This trial is state-sanctioned child abuse. If Streeting doesn’t do the right thing of his own accord, we will use the law to force him to comply.
