1/ The affordability crisis is the biggest issue facing this country. That is why I am proud that this Budget acts to take £150 of costs off people’s energy bills.

Today’s Budget is about taking fair choices. It will focus on your priorities: cutting the cost of living, cutting waiting lists and cutting the national debt. This Labour government will deliver strong foundations for our economy and secure our country’s future.

Good work, Luke. You’ve pushed hard for this. Never give up, never give in. 🌹✊
I'm delighted by the key decisions announced by the Chancellor. Over 200 pensioners in North Durham will benefit from her action on the injustice of the British Coal Staff Superannuation Scheme, and every pensioner from the increase to the state pension. Over 10% of local

And the Tories led our farmers down the garden path when it came to Brexit benefits, didn’t they Christopher you don’t like to talk about that now do you?
As the grandson of a farmer I went out today to support farmers protesting in Whitehall. Labour should scrap the family farm tax now. If and they don’t, we will

.@johnmcdonnellMP is excellent here and to be fair is always strong. We wouldn’t go far wrong having him in government. We need a government that reflects the Labour Party membership more. The left and the right. Leadership that recognises both branches will be stronger for it.
Has the budget helped or hindered the prime minister and chancellor? Sky's @joncraig asks former shadow chancellor John McDonnell what he thinks. Read more đź”˝ https://t.co/LBYFsKhFHB

Tackling child poverty is a moral duty. That’s why I’m ending the two child limit - so every child has the chance to thrive. This will lift hundreds of thousands out of poverty and help break the cycle of disadvantage for good.

Ending the two-child benefit cap will help hundreds of thousands of children out of poverty. Labour’s record on fighting child poverty changed my life. Now we’re doing it again for the next generation. 🌹

Yeah we should legislate to ban elections per se really. That democracy lark is old fashioned. And btw, we actually have a leader and PM. So let’s calm it down to a frenzy!
Exc: Allies of Wes Streeting are calling for a coronation rather than a contest to install him as Labour leader, probably after the May elections. Ministers and senior MPs backing the health secretary warned against a lurch to the left and said privately that a rival candidate

Hang on Gregory didn’t you want to leave the EU? #Realorfake
Good to be back in Berlin, and there’s a long queue for non-EU nationals. (despite a promise that Brits would be able to use the e-Gates from August). But at least in Berlin there isn’t the same anti-British discrimination there is at @MUC_Airport_, check out their sign!

Last night @CalvinBailey, @HelenMorganMP and I delivered a cross-party letter signed by over 120 MPs to @wesstreeting calling for targeted prostate cancer screening for high-risk men. No man should die from this disease because of his postcode, ethnicity or ability to see a GP.

Expanding free school meals is an anti-poverty, pro-learning, properly Labour policy. We're setting up children to give school everything they've got, no matter their background.

Very glad to hear David's treatment for prostate cancer has been successful. Speaking so openly will encourage more men to get checked earlier, and I agree with him that Britain needs a targeted national screening programme for high-risk men.
The words you never forget: “I’m afraid it could be cancer”. On hearing this news - affected deeply by my brother’s premature death - I acted quickly & was lucky. So today I’m adding my name to the campaign calling for a prostate cancer screening programme.

Farage's man in Wales was sent down 3 days ago for taking pro-Russian bribes. Why is he refusing to investigate whether there's any other links to the Kremlin in Reform? What is he hiding?

Farage says he can't investigate pro-Russian links in Reform because he doesn't "have a police force". You really need to start thinking of better excuses @Nigel_Farage - or the public will think you're hiding something.
