I find this a bit shocking. I would have presumed a similar significant benefit in reducing risk. We see a reduction in cancer risk after metabolic bariatric surgery.
What is the effect of GLP-1 drugs on incidence of cancer? A new meta-analysis of 48 randomized, placebo-controlled trials (~95,000 participants) finds no evidence of increased or decreased risk. Not conclusive; need to keep on this https://t.co/DaWs4kFHa1

@P_DeepakIBDMD 100%. I mean: I’m on medications, get pouchoscopies, etc. I’m a big fan of the jpouch option but it should be positioned as a treatment, and not the end of the journey. But MDs are absolutely still saying it to patients, and some patients even argue with me about it because
