One reason I learnt to do systematic reviews is that they do not need ethics, and with committed people in team no funding.
@fgomollon All have value- esp if well conducted. We all want to gold standard RCTs but there isn’t enough funding, opportunity and time to continually do these. MAs don’t require ethics, governance, ( a university affiliation). They remain important to help some get runs on the board.

This should change.✅️Thesis is an introduction to research.✅️Thesis should train an entire generation in research methodology and integrity, data collection and tools for basic analysis. That is the purpose of thesis. ❌️A paper may or maynot come out of it.
MD Thesis in India is all about learning excel shortkeys and graph generation. Neither the resident nor the guide knows sh*t about research.
