Anita of the many tributes we are seeing for Brian this one is really wonderful. You summarized his qualities so well. In particular the part about “academic snobbery”. One of the most brilliant yet down to earth and humble leaders in our field.
Our IBD community lost a true giant and I lost a dear colleague, mentor, and friend. Dr. Brian Feagan was one of the most significant contributors to IBD science, yet also one of the most humble, generous, and genuine people I have ever known. He had no interest in the academic

ER doc here. I've seen a "sore throat" in minor end up in resuscitation with a STAT call to anesthesia to secure the airway in the OR. If someone feels they have an emergency - come to ER. It's crucial we keep it that basic. We rely on the public's judgement.

@BattatMD4IBD @JeanFredericCo1 @Bealoquebea @IBDimmunology Thank you both for these great studies! Very important! Hope convinces all IBD providers to treat these ulcers as Crohn’s recurrence! I had anastomotic apthous ulcers, didn’t respond to medical Rx, over time developed ileal stricture - had to be resected last yr.
