This week's news that TfL and Rachel Aldred tried to bury results they didn't like came too late for our newsletter but gives weight to our front page story of the folly of the Government's decision to drop guidance to councils. Full newsletter: https://t.co/xibV5ijEsF

Congratulations to @WDulwichAction for a well deserved victory. For too long, councils like theirs and @Royal_Greenwich have dismissed results of public consultations and done as they please, ignoring residents’ concerns.

Another serious crash on Dalston Ln a few minutes ago. Since the creation of LTNs & sacrifice roads as well as other “traffic calming” measures I’ve seen more accidents than in the previous 35 years in the same home. Thank you @hackneycouncil @carowoodley for putting us in danger

Routing cycle lanes through the pavement at bus stops has to stop. Floating bus stops are not safe or accessible for blind people. Access has to be from the kerbside, direct from the pavement without having to cross a cycle lane first. This is at Elephant & Castle in London.

Everyone should also read June’s story. Lambeth Council ought to feel ashamed of itself for treating the disabled like this.

Where is the money you stole from people through your corrupt LTN schemes? People want their money back! Sounds like they need a DOGE audit @CharlotteCGill

This is the worst financial crisis Lambeth has faced. We're proposing £99M of savings, as the soaring cost of temporary accommodation puts our finances close to breaking point. Read the full report on #Lambeth's proposed cost-saving measures: https://t.co/CnyBl4Tejz

#Greenwich Council has spent £60,000 on removing and rectifying confusing and potentially unlawful #LTN signage. Meanwhile, cuts continue to be made to essential services, including the removal of lollypop people outside primary schools. Read more below

We had our day in court - holding Lambeth to account for the implementation of the west dulwich ltn. We had a strong barrister argument and it went as well as we could expect. Verdict in 6-8 weeks 🤞.

Bravo👏👏 What a travesty that residents are forced to take their own council to court. Lambeth Council have truly lost sight of the fact they work *for* the people - all of them, not just their pals. Stoney-faced in court today, still set on their harmful & divisive ideology.

Tomorrow West Dulwich Action Group (WDAG) takes Lambeth Council to court over its LTN implementation. The case focuses on the process the council went through when deciding to proceed with the LTN experimental traffic order, and therefore on whether the council acted lawfully.

It’s amazes me how hackney has allowed its streets to be destroyed outside LTNs ….:: The congestion is truly shocking n some parts now … A proper independent investigation needs t be conducted too see why councils lied about evaporation….

When Labour councils are making and relying upon hundred's of £millions from motorist fines each year, and whilst charities/lobby groups are being paid tens of £millions in consultancy fees, is a Labour government really going to prevent LTNs that don't have community consent?

Where exactly is this traffic going to go? Is it to be relocated to high residential community roads where poor and people of colour are more likely to live, work, shop and where their children walk to nursery & school? @BBCNews @MichaelMarmot @ProfKevinFenton @SocEnvJustice

@andrewellson @hackneyindepen1 Approximately 900 residents & those running businesses in Hackney, most living & working in sacrificial roads signed a petition asking for plans for Amhurst Rd to be delayed so an independent impact assessment could be carried out. Guess the response. Now there’s another story!
