My mother is hyper-religious like that, and I had an overactive imagination. I saw demons everywhere! I was constantly afraid of being punished by god, being sent to hell, the whole works. I was a bed wetter and developed an anxiety disorder because of it.

I grew up in Greenwich with rich white kids, you know what they do? Drugs, kill, and disrespect women. The difference is they have the social or economic capital to not be charged with the crimes they’ve committed. “Do you know who my father is?” Is an anthem.
