How will the corrected Bengaluru metro fares look? 85% commuters can see corrections ranging from 5/- to 15/- @siddaramaiah @mlkhattar - Citizens conclusively proved errors in BMRCL fare hike request to FFC. Without delay please instruct BMRCL to correct the fares as below🙏🏼

Staggering that BMRCL thinks that it can get away with the unfair fare hike based on misrepresentation to FFC. Even more staggering is that Bengaluru commuters endure the fare hike silently. And if commuter silence persists, brace for another 5% hike in Feb'26. Speak up now.

BMRCL continued to parrot denials in its response to Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya. Let's shine more sunlight & help BMRCL come out of brain fog. 4th FFC of DMRC correctly applied the formula (see below) @siddaramaiah @mlkhattar - Fare correction is now a moral imperative.

BMRCL's clarifications contradicts its own annual reports. Full Ph 1 fares were fixed in 2016/17 itself. Due to delays, it was again hiked in June 2017, but still with a max. fare of 60/- Bengaluru: Had BMRCL presented correct calcs to FFC, fares wouldn't have been so high.

Illusion of truth: The concept is a known psychological phenomenon, where mere repetition of a statement, regardless of its truth, increases its perceived truthfulness. Sorry BMRCL, Bengaluru doesn't fall for it. By the way 70.7 r-kms in 2023/24 is wrong too. It shd be 73.8

Akagi Nyugyo, a Japanese icecream manufacturer apologised for increasing 🍦price from 60 yen to 70 yen (around 15%). In Bengaluru BMRCL used flawed calculations to unfairly increase the fares by 72%. We can settle just for fare correction. Isn't it?

This is how an MD should work taking stakeholders into confidence and moving forward collectively. @OfficialBMRCL and its leadership is exactly the opposite. Whatever decision they take up ends up creating a disaster. No clear vision and the urge to do good for people

Thank you @anandmahindra ji. I remember meeting you in 2017 in ur office as part of my efforts to garner support for @MumbaiMetro3 from industry leaders, opinion makers, intelligentsia & well wishers of Mumbai. Robust public transport system is the cornerstone of urban mobility.

It's really embarassing that Bengaluru has such stupendous incompetence in metro operations. The only thing matching this incompetence is the general apathy of citizens. Citizens who are so cost aware when bargaining with vegetable vendors are helplessly enduring high fares.
@DKShivakumar it is evident beyond doubt that Metro finance team made deliberate wrong calculations and presented to FFC. Stop lying . We are not freebie mongers . Get fare corrected and resign and get lost. Incompetent, corrupt, unfit fellow @solidview

Fare correction, a must. BMRCL must not test citizens' patience by issuing more confusing clarification. Graciously accept the error & correct it. It is the right thing to do. Introspect on how the error occurred, that is what good institutions do. Numbers speak for itself👇🏽

Forget looking into economics, BMRCL failed to get basic mathematics right and the FFC failed to check it. Bengaluru commuters pay 32% extra fare unfairly & this is solely due to errors. @siddaramaiah - It's about time you instructed BMRCL to correct the fares. #rollbackfare
