‘@Tejasvi_Surya, calling the ₹18,500 Cr #HebbalSilkBoard Tunnel Road a “vanity project” is misleading, political pandering and short-sighted. Bengaluru is a rapidly expanding metropolis of over 1.4 crore people, soon to touch 2 crore. This scale of urban growth demands.

This is a statistic which one can interpret correctly like @Tejasvi_Surya and focus on metro to REMOVE traffic . OR. Misinterpret it like @DKShivakumar to wrongly focus on more road capacity to just REDISTRIBUTE the traffic. 🛑 the Tunnel Road. Bengaluru must build metro quickly.
Every month, Bengaluru adds more than 60,000 vehicles ie., nearly 2,000 a day on an average. Metro is the key to improving Bengaluru’s transportation and reducing the traffic woes. T-29 to #YellowLineOpenMadi.@BMRCL.

Oh dear Bengaluru why are you doing this?.
Despite my repeated warnings, the State Govt is blindly pushing the ₹17,780 Cr tunnel project in Bengaluru. No credible consultant responded to their “studies,” and no credible contractor will participate now either. Shady DPRs bring shady contractors, projects and consequences.

BMRCL has dropped the depot requirement at Hebbal and as they are also seemingly endorsing the unscientific car-only Tunnel Road that runs parallel to Phase 3a, the logical question one must ask is:. Is the Govt dropping metro Ph 3a to favour the unscientific car-only Tunnel Rd?.
The 45-acre Hebbal land is critical for multiple Metro lines (2A, 2B, 3 & 3A) and the Suburban Rail project. Any dilution of land from 45 to 9 acres to suite private builders will cripple Bengaluru’s future mobility. Don’t surrender to real estate lobbies. @OfficialBMRCL
