I recently spoke with a colleague regarding the situation in

- a woman is raped every 2 hrs. The stat is likely higher, as the majority do not report due to fear (

, culture, family honor etc).
This problem is understudied in Nigeria and Africa generally, but in several other countries it’s been established that domestic violence against women soars during football season.
