Parents tell us that it is the relationship they build with their Keyworker that gives them the greatest benefit when working with us. We never underestimate how powerful just listening can be in helping to bring about positive changes to people's lives.

We understand the vital role that dad's play in the family unit - that's why we offer our services fathers - whether they be a single parent or as part of a couple. By empowering and engaging with fathers, we can help build stronger families.

We work with mothers and fathers who are currently pregnant/expecting a baby and 'at risk' of their newborn baby being removed. Our support is offered throughout pregnancy and up to 12 months after their baby is born. The support we offer is led by the parent themselves.

We are continuing to build our evidence base to show that voluntary, early interventions for parents involved in recurrent care proceedings can achieve real positive outcomes that help keep children and their birth families together safely.

We commonly see an absence in completion of recommended therapy and support for parents when Care Proceedings end, which can disadvantage them if they expect a baby again in future. We address this gap by giving families the opportunity to complete 1-1, group work and therapy.

Having a child removed is extremely traumatic and painful for the parents we support. We do what we can to help provide the emotional and practical support needed to manage their significant loss including Keyworker support, befriending, 1-1 counselling and group therapy.
