Won’t leave this hellscape quite yet, but I did make an account over in a bluer atmosphere. Will likely be engaging on both for the time being. Same username over there.

It has been an immense honor to learn & grow with two of the greatest scientists I know: Zach & @mysteriousjoe_ 🧑🔬 Such a pleasure to mentor these two! Listen in on our conversation about mentorship, building trust and creating a safe space to disagree: https://t.co/XmLKxzCPEP

Whatever you may think about DEI. The bottom line is that every NIH grant goes through a rigorous peer review process to vet the science and the people doing it. Only the top scored grants get funded. The funding cuts/ chaos are stopping research programs. People are losing jobs.
The future of research on cancer and Alzheimer’s is uncertain with federal cuts. “I'm feeling pretty demoralized,” said neuroscientist @JasonSynaptic.

Updated how pyramidal neurons impact specific interneuron subtypes. Turns out spontaneous activity, Wnt signaling in Parvalbumin Interneurons and integrin-signaling in Somatostatin neurons are the culprits! Also see how optimal transport tracks identity. https://t.co/6WpvRBZnkV

Trump could have cancelled tariffs on groceries, clothing, back-to-school supplies – any one of a number of things that would have reduced costs for American families. Instead, he chose gold.
