Fun fact:. FDA mandated minimum linoleic acid requirement to formula in 1980, but without a maximum limit. All major brands swapped to seed oil to meet it because it’s cheaper than making a healthier balanced lipid profile and now overloads formula fed infants on LA ever since.
Before 1900 we consumed zero seed oils. Now we consume 20 million metric tons a year. Explains so much

Imagine if the government mandated lactose in your food supply because it deemed that it was beneficial to the population regardless of the percentage that can’t process it properly. This is no different. Universal mandates like this incorrectly assume universal benefit.
