#stats

I think you could add a few other skills in there too in fact. I love Statistics and can't wait to graduate from my masters. Then, I can call myself a Statistician officially without feeling like a fraud.

Statisticians need to learn math, coding, verbal and written communication, critical thinking and have a good sense of data. Such a variety of skills makes learning statistics on your own uniquely hard.

I can't be sure that they used an LLM but I'm leaning towards it. I'm going to look through the links and see if they are even relevant to the scope. Because if they aren't, using a LLM is just the cherry on top.

.@NBCNews claims that @SecKennedy's recommendation to fry potatoes in beef tallow - rather than the seed oils used today - "isn’t backed by scientific research.". Here is a basketful of studies that tell a different story: 🍟1/7.

I would think a meta analysis is better, all else equal? The larger N doesn't make it more enticing.

You put more trust in a comprehensive meta-analysis of the existing literature, or a single study that's larger than that entire literature?.

As a student, I wouldn't mind having more exposure to doing Descriptive Analysis. I can confirm, we spent a lot of time on inference than anything else.

If there's one valuable thing that I've learned after cleaning data for several online surveys, is how to ruin the day of someone cleaning data for an online survey I just filed out.

Additionally, I think it's cool the author included some exposure to Measure Theory. So, if you've at the very least taken Discrete Math, you can read this book. Ch 1 helps you with some of the things you might have forgotten.
