We spotted a few unanswered questions: .- What is the qualification term in PostDoc?.- How many of the new items are a “must” and how many are only recommended?.- Is the first contract per phase or institution?.- When do we see the law text? preferably in English 🥺 7/10.

4. A new feature called “Mindestvertragslaufzeit” meaning minimal first contract duration was unlocked: 3 years for PhD, 2 years for PostDoc and 1 year for Student workers 💃🎉 5/10.

2. 3rd party funding contracts stay, however with the temporal qualification priority. Meaning that only after the 4 years of PostDoc on a regular basis, you can apply for a 3rd party-funded position ♾️ #4everhanna 3/10.

1. The lengthy discussed PostDoc time remains the same - 6 years. However, with an interesting twist of 4 + 2 (🤦♀️) with an evaluation at the + stage. The BMBF recommends an “Anschlusszusage” after 2/10.
