@The_TUC It's 130 odd years since the TUC passed its first resolution on equal pay and here you are engaging in what is tantamount to policing of women's speech within trade unions themselves. Why the warning when Maya has never defended hatred, harassment or discrimination of anyone?

Realise the enormity of your words. If talking of women's rights, if the mere acknowledgement of the condition of woman globally and historically as reliant on the specificity of the female body is an expression of trans hate then talk of trans rights is an exercise in misogyny.

As far as I'm concerned housing males with women is a weapon of mass coercive control over women. Coercive control is a common form male violence against women and girls takes. The state should not be sponsoring it. Get all males out of women's prisons now. #KeepPrisonsSingleSex

@ShahrarAli @AdrianRamsay I hope Adrian doesn't forget that there are 9 protected characteristics in the EA. I also hope that he doesn't forget that women are most affected in work precarity and encouraging the monstering and sacking of women for wrongthink only makes it more difficult for those of us...

The word "cisgender" is dangerous because it locates women's subordination in our very brains while positioning women as privileged oppressors. It's a sleight of hand which hides and negates class relation and, thus, renders us impotent to argue back. That's all. #FuckCis

#NoThankYou to *gender identity*. I haven't spent most of my life struggling against the legacies of the *negroid* identity imposed on my ancestors to usurp and exploit to now stand by as the notion that the trappings of women's subordination are embedded in my brain is promoted.

#NoThankYou to the deliberate confusing of separatism with segregation that is used to prevent women from achieving much needed consciousness of the misogyny that surrounds us.

On 16th July I posted a tweet of JK Rowling saying “I ignore porn tweeted at children”. This was entirely misleading as I took her words out of context. I was wrong to make this defamatory and untrue allegation and apologise to JK Rowling.

The triumph of the politics of symbolism within the Labour Party. With women already bearing and set to bear more of the brunt of an ongoing economic crisis made worse by a pandemic, Labour decides that identitarianism should replace a material analysis of women's oppression. 👎🏿

It is deeply disappointing that the government has let trans people down and dropped its plans to reform the Gender Recognition Act. Labour is committed to equality and we continue to support updating the GRA to introduce self-declaration for trans people.

@bindelj @HJoyceGender @PennyRed I haven't seen nasty. I've seen angry, ridiculing and contemptuous replies but I didn't see nasty ones. When I saw that tweet of yours I stopped replying but what it actually looked like to me was that she couldn't stand her own kitchen's heat.

Sex is not an essential quality, Ash. It's a specific biological existence. We're specific sexed human beings not to be reduced to figments of your imagination. #MoralMaze

#NoThankYou to taking away from women the right to analyse our collective lives and important tools women need to study what happens to us in society, such as sex segregated recorded data.

@sally_hines @invistring12 If you don't think defending the category of "woman" is not important enough then don't pretend to be on the side of black women. Black women have enough problems with black and white men without white people of either sex butting in "in solidarity". 🙄

@GiulioOfLondon @SussexUni Female students at the uni have been tweeting they don't feel safe enough to voice their opinions. Is trans people's acceptance contingent on women's silence? Are you planning on building Gilead in the name of trans people?

I fear for Spanish working class women in dire straits right now but I also understand this is down to a left which has stubbornly turn deaf eyes and ears to women and, thus, has allowed the right to monopolise material reality. 1/2
