This, and the killing of journalist, demonstrates pretty clearly that Israel does not want us to know what they are doing in Gaza. They do not want deaths recorded or verified or counted.
Some context for Israel’s targeting of hospitals is that they are the essential infrastructure for tracking injuries and deaths, and the core forensics team that documents war fatalities is at al Shifa. This is likely to seriously inhibit monitoring

A prime example is JS. He just thinks that the existence of trans people *as trans* is reliant upon him having a clear concept of their transness.
I find this old comment so striking because Jesse’s perspective on trans issues largely comes down to skepticism about gender identity, which he fundamentally does not approach scientifically—he approaches it philosophically. He wants a rigorous conceptual analysis!

I’ve been harping on this of late, but the current catastrophe really is an object lesson in both how the ideology of the dominant works and the necessity of getting clear on what universal freedom could mean.
If anyone bothered to ask people chanting "Free free Palestine" whether they imagine such a Palestine existing in place of Israel or alongside it, I'm guessing the vast majority would answer the former. Which presupposes an annihilation of Jews that is never going to happen.
