Moving local proclamation today in Bolton
Today the Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Akhtar Zaman, made the local proclamation of the of new monarch, King Charles III.
Thanks to all those who attended the public ceremony in Victoria Square.
All flags will now return to half-mast until the morning after The Queen’s funeral.

Sir Tony commanded respect across the House of Commons. He dedicated his life to the betterment of people’s lives, in particular for those of us living in Greater Manchester. I have fond memories of bumping into him on the train up and down between London and Piccadilly.
