New blog post! Maryam Bham calls for urgent reflection on the government’s decision to remove bursaries for RE trainees. When we defund subjects that nurture empathy and moral reasoning, what kind of society will we create? https://t.co/LquxabYDpO

Beautiful Aidan 🧵
I had the honour of being asked by His Majesty King Charles III to paint an icon of St Edward the Confessor (1003-1066 AD) for him to give as a gift to Pope Leo XIV on his state visit yesterday, 23rd October. The meeting and the exchange of gifts has been widely covered in the…

Always highly recommend these sessions
We had a brilliant #New2RE session this week with Lat Blaylock 😁 Here’s a snapshot of the feedback from ECTs and TWOs who are new to teaching RE. If you know anyone who is eligible, please share details of our next free session on November 10th https://t.co/IiFiqwDEKk

Just gone down a rabbit hole tracking down a reference for a widely cited quote from Lee Iacocca. Turns out most of the citations are wrong. Here's the full quote from "Where have all the leaders gone" (Scribner, 2007):

Nigel Farage's attendance record as an MEP was 748 out of 751, yet he turned up to vote AGAINST plans to tackle Russian disinformation. Now one of his MEPs has admitted taking bribes to spread Russian propaganda. Why is this not all over the media?

Israel bombed a hospital. Rescue workers and reporters rushed to recover the dead and the wounded. Israel bombed the hospital again. Live on TV. Read that again. Our government’s legacy will be its complicity in crimes against humanity. End all arms sales to Israel, now.

The best way to increase the number of your students getting a grade 4 is by improving your school. Better behaviour, better curriculum, better teaching. Worrying about bell curves and stuff is a red herring. Better schools. That's the answer.
