And the love letter for mini whiteboards continues... As described in the blog, we still needed to iron out our consistent routines for how to use and show mini-whiteboards in the classroom and this week, as a staff, we agreed that. We established routines for passing out
Thank you to @adamboxer1 and @StamStam193 for the final kick of inspiration yesterday morning to get this blog about mini-whiteboards finally out of my head and into the world. @mrbartonmaths @dylanwiliam @teacherhead @olicav @KateJones_teach Mini-Whiteboards: A

Is abysmal parenting pushing schools to breaking point? I'm not sure I'd use the word "abysmal", but a lot of the uptick in problems we are having on a national level do seem to be down to parents doing mad stuff

@JonHaidt @AdamMGrant Iβm an instructional coach and science teacher. The downside of 1:1 devices outweighs the upside in nearly every class I see where devices are used. Gaming, shopping, and social media is on roughly 1/5 of the screens and teachers are mostly unaware. Also, lots of building

Really lovely feedback from a fabulous school I've visited a few times now. Doing the "wow" thing at INSET is all very well, but the main thing is change, change, change. If your CPD doesn't change lessons and teaching, what's the point?

Great thread. Completely agree with the conclusions about the utility of AI in education.
How reliable is AI? A cautionary tale, using Julia Donaldsonβs βFoxβs socksβ as an example.𧡠I think we can all agree this book is a banger. Rarely out of bedtime reading rotation in the Bennett household for about two years.

I don't even teach science and I still think this is one of the most useful books I've read about teaching
Happy anniversary to Teaching Secondary Science: A Complete Guide! 4 years old today ππ₯³ It was a real labour of love, and I think it's pretty good. Grab a copy wherever, and if you enjoyed it feel free to share/buy one for a colleague/RT etc ππ https://t.co/eUdHdG8tZ2

This is a very good book for science teachers! It has helped me think more strategically about instructional design and delivery in science.

An excellent book. Full of so many actionable tips and tricks - even if you are a non-scientist, the ideas are transferable. π

I know it's a bit of an out-there thing to say, but my opinion is that any human interested in great art and cultural achievements should play Clair Obscur. Art, music, screenplay, acting, narrative, character, profound emotional depth. Astonishing. https://t.co/cndtXSE8wt
