England now: - Significantly exceeds Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland across all subjects. - Surpasses Finland (Finland!) in reading and maths. Here are PISA maths results illustrating that change:

@adamboxer1 My DI, as DIY as it is (read stuff, tried things), has been improving since I started three years ago. More focused, more thoughtful, faster paced thanks to MWBs. I think it's also because students got used to my ways and respond better. Just a few things we refine everyday.

The best teachers I've seen don't use a wide range of activities. They do a few things, and they do them well. They hone them, practise them, and know exactly when each one should be used and why. The students become habituated to them, and learning goes through the roof.

The two main Sunday politics shows have each invited on three people who aren’t Jewish to debate and discuss antisemitism this morning, despite having no direct experience of it. Really poor.

This is the way. Adam is correct…again.🙂 Especially in the US, I feel teachers are made to believe they need to always be doing something new to keep lessons fun and engaging…that is unsustainable for the teacher and simply not good for learning.
