@notdylaan @judgementshae It’s not ambiguous though? It’s very clearly a comic about how presenting how you want is more important than looking pretty according to social conventions. I’m sure blonde thinks she looks amazing, but having her directly state that would dull the comics point.

@MerMetalBard @judgementshae You read it correct. The really awful bad faith interpretation is a huge stretch away from what the comic is clearly conveying, and *enjoying* how you look is so much more important than being complimented about it, when people notice it always feels way more genuine.

@mooseybab @commiecrat @judgementshae The thing is. Most of the trans people reading this comic *dont* feel hurt by this, and made comments disagreeing with this interpretation. I would have seriously appreciated any of my friends noting how happy I was while transitioning, and not just physical looks.

@KorverMiriam @julesucks1 @judgementshae I genuinely think that the “And pretty” part is pretty easily read to be implied, simply because that isn’t what the comic is focusing on saying. Not that trans people shouldn’t be told they’re pretty, but that trans people *should* be told that they look happy.

@FuzzyWuzzy_Pup @the_sunny_d_123 @judgementshae But the point of the comic is literally that she didn’t need to hear that she looked good, since she had been told that her whole life while in outfits that she didn’t feel good in. The whole point is that she just needed someone to acknowledge that she was happy and wanted this.

@bigDean636 @9_volt_ Ah yes. The well known DLC “The Last of Us 2” and “Majora’s Mask”. There’s a point where you have to stop calling a sequel overpriced DLC. The map is almost entirely redone, just with the same basic bones, and the gameplay and story have an entirely different feel. It’s not DLC.

So 8 has such a strong sense of individuality that not only were they able to resist sanitization AND graysscaling, they were able to pull Acht, Marina and Pearl out of it too?. Between her and Pearl, splatoon DLC really loves giving us the most canonically powerful characters.
