“we’re not angry enough” is off. it’s more that we aren’t organized enough. what is anger with nowhere to go? nothing to do? we won’t spontaneously combust our way out of what’s to come. what’s already here. take the fact of yesterday on the chin. build today, for tomorrow.

If you're going to Cuba to help, you should be masking as part of community care. Spreading diseases to a beleaguered, vulnerable population whose hospitals are without electricity is NOT activism.

Ableism is more than treating disabled people differently. It is discrimination, devaluation and dehumanization of disabled people. Disabled people have value. Disabled people have merit. Disabled people are worthy. Disabled people are not a burden.

New study finds that US COVID deaths were undercounted by ~20%. While COVID revisionists and antivaxxers are trying to con people into thinking we did too much, the data says the opposite: Governments didn’t implement public health measures effectively enough to save more lives.

Aerosols. Aerosols. Aerosols. Aerosols. Aerosols. Aerosols. Covid. Meningitis. N95s, HEPA filtration, and vaccination all save lives. Stop sharing air with people who don't live with you.

One of the things we realized in disaster med was that while responders were bringing aid supplies into disaster zones, they also brought communicable diseases and did nothing prevent it. History is repeating itself.

I'll never stop being mad at everyone on ''the left'' who still ignores disability justice, disease prevention and Covid Your understanding of any issue we're currently facing lacks an important layer that involves your complicity in spreading disease to your comrades Mask up!!
bringing supplies to Cuba is based. Bringing virus not so much-just mask ffs. Call me covidtelpro--I do not give af--just saying you can do something good without also doing something bad

Really wish more people would contend with the fact that ignoring a pandemic is not a politically or morally neutral act

there are modeling studies that show us that we’d have less virus in the air if like 70% of us masked 30% of the time rather than the 5-10% of us that mask 100% of the time
“I don’t want to wear a mask all the time” Alright. Would you please wear it sometimes? Sometimes > never. Like just keep one in your bag, and put it on when you’re in an extra crowded place maybe?

These are the words we were all hoping to hear: “Initial guidance on preventing the spread of infection was flawed. It assumed the virus was spread by contact transmission, failing properly to consider the extent to which it was also spread by AIRBORNE transmission.”

Covid never stopped killing people. It killed more today. The official counts just stopped & denial narrative won.
We have severely undercounted the number of COVID deaths, scientists say https://t.co/nPBhEbKWfK

“We refuse to acknowledge all the studies showing that C0VlD damages immune systems. We willfully ignore that information. How could meningitis—another infectious disease that exploits damaged immunity—possibly be spreading so quickly? so very confusing! An impenetrable mystery!”
UK: Masks reintroduced for NHS staff amid confusion over rapid spread of meningitis "Hospital staff and GPs have been told to wear masks as authorities scramble to understand why meningitis is spreading so quickly." Telegraph https://t.co/6moqh8ox7B

Remember when we kept warning you that repeated C O V I D infections DAMAGE your immune system? And that there will be a mass rise in other viruses, bacterial infections, secondary life threatening infections, ETC ETC Yeah. Remember?
Meningitis outbreaks don’t happen in a vacuum.
They spread through the same close-contact, shared-air conditions that made COVID explode. When you normalize transmission, you don’t just get one disease — you get all of them.
