I don't have herpes, but I am working on it! So many people who can proudly say this have joined us in Braunschweig at the Mini-Herpesvirus Workshop. We got guests from all parts of Germany, UK, Israel, Croatia & more. I hope to see you at the next edition in a year in Freiburg.

We are very excited about the mini-herpesvirus workshop that starts tomorrow on the @Helmholtz_HZI campus in Braunschweig. Some 120 delegates and more than 50 abstracts show the huge interest in #herpes #virology. Many thanks to my team, working so hard in making this possible.

Three in a row. In the last few months we published a series of papers dealing with the mechanism of CD8 T cell priming after CMV infection. We showed that direct priming is the canonical pathway of T cell activation even when immune evasion proteins suppress antigen presentation
