Year 2 had a surprise when they went swimming today. The pool was littered with plastic. It was to highlight the

It’s half term but Mr Bowsher & I were in school today. It meant we got the opportunity to read the congratulatory letter sent from the Department of Education regarding our recent phonics success. Our results are in the top 2% of all primary schools in the country 👍

Paul held an assembly to talk about his life and how he embraced being different which has led him to see the world, be a professional basketball player and movie actor. He spent a session with every class doing basketball. An inspirational man.

It is the first day of our Walk to School initiative and the road outside the school was much quieter and a huge number of the children were walking or parking and striding. Well done.

These three girls found a wallet yesterday. Brought it to the office. Mrs Stephens looked at the wallet, recognised the person it belonged to (not a parent). Had their number, called them, wallet was reunited with owner. Owners wife brought these treats to say thank you today 👍

Having walked the school different times this morning, I can report a calm atmosphere, lots of learning and a lovely buzz in all classrooms. The children are receiving an excellent provision. One teacher and one Learning Support Assistant per 10 children. Welcome back to school.

I have just finished reading 330 individual school reports and made a handwritten comment on each. Even though this is quite a task, it’s been lovely to read what the teachers have said about your children. Very positive. The reports are scheduled to be sent home Monday 👍

Mr Bailey has just finished. 2,122.2 laps of his garden. Equivalent to a
