Sialylated IgG induces expression of REST in alveolar macrophages via CD209, where REST dampens the responsiveness of macrophages to multiple NFκB stimuli and controls the inflammatory lung response to influenza viruses @ImmunityCP @LabTaia.

Sialylated IgG Fc domains induce a transcription factor called REST, which blocks transcription of NF-κB. In the lungs of mice, this activity protected against influenza virus-induced inflammation and preserved lung function during infection.
