As an Albertan, I denounce the Wexit movement we're hearing about in the strongest terms possible. I don't believe they even remotely represent the voice of Alberta. Albertans need to stand up to these malcontents. I'm Albertan and

The amount of stupid in Alberta is staggering. Just went down the rabbit hole of conspiracy theories surrounding the wild fires. My wife asked, "Do we need to move out of province to get away from the crazies?" I honestly don't know. I worry for our kids here.

Seems like Edmonton City Hall shooter was radicalized by Pierre Poilievre, UCP and Rebel Media talking points. His complaints about housing, fighting "wokeism", about immigration...they all could have been taken directly from a Poilievre or Daniel Smith speech.
@jkenney
@cafreeland
Your constant demonizing of Ottawa and the Trudeau government fuels this. You made a career out of feeding hate to Albertans. Get bent.
@TWTHEREDDRAGON
Yep. The available RAM with the S was a seriously bottleneck for us porting our current title. Added 2 months to our porting time and resources to work around this issue.
@globeandmail
I don't know why Canadians shy away from coalition governments like we see in so many other multiparty democracies. Considering the vast majority of Canadians vote for left of center, it just makes sense rather then allowing a Trumpian, fringe party to continually obstruct.
If rural Alberta foists that liar Danielle Smith on us despite everything shes said and the damage the UCP has done already I don't think there will be any reason to remain in this province. I really worry for the future of my family if we remain. This election is pivotal.
@Vanessa_Sarges
I feel for their kids. Growing up with bigoted parents is a hurdle to start with, but now those kids went from one of the best countries in the world to being trapped in Russia for probably the rest of their lives.
Those kids didn't ask for any of this.

Ugh. Just suffered through Scheer's lie filled, divisive speech in Alberta. What a bunch of horseshit. And no hint of an actual plan or platform in sight. Who the hell, in Canada, supports this Trump-like nonsense?

Having Danielle Smith as premier is like when Trump was president.
Every single day starts with "Damage report".
What did she screw up now? What horrible thing did she say?
This is a nightmare. It's so early on into her term and it's already exhausting.

Right? Like, there's 100's of heated protests each year in the US and armed protestors don't end up lighting up the other side with their rifles if punches start being thrown (or plastic bags). Suddenly Americans are ok with this? Or just when it's BLM protestors? Seriously..
@CityNewsYEG
This makes me sick. Every one of those RCMP officers who stood by while peaceful protestors were assaulted by racists need to be held to account.
Dude! Teck cancels their oilsands project application, then says the technology to do it cleanly doesn't exist and they support carbon pricing? Jason Kenney must be frothing at the mouth right now.

For example, just look at the trollbot accounts flooding this post. Those aren't free. Who's paying for them? Are taxpayer dollars funding these troll farms? Are they coordinating with our Opposition party? Are they foreign influencers. How can we make this illegal in Cdn?
@ABDanielleSmith
You took part in a white pride rally with Tucker Carlson hosting just a couple of weeks ago. You think Albertans have already forgot about that?
Finance minister Travis Toews said diversifying the economy is a luxury Alberta just can't afford right now. That's why they killed incentives for game companies to invest and grow in Alberta. They'll just move to other provinces. Amazingly short sighted.

Back in Nov, the UCP were disqualifying candidates for the exact thing it's been shown Smith was doing. I don't care if you don't agree with some of the NDP's policies. We cannot allow this person to lead our province a second longer then we have to.

That poor kid. Took me years to ditch the bigotry my stepfather instilled in me as a kid. Most people won't ever rise above it. That poor kid...
@Mikel_Jollett
How many times have "proud boys" been charged for assault or pointing their weapons at protestors during events? Now imagine each time, the assaulted were just free to gun down those "proud boys" as, clearly, it would be in self defense? Next protest would be a bloodbath.
Albertans dont think their voices are being heard? Maybe stop voting in liars and bigots that arent working for you. We have votes. We have a voice. It's not Canada's fault you keep throwing it away.
"If I go in and die, that's on me." That's not how it works, asshat. People will still attempt to rescue you because that's their jobs. You put all of them at risk.

What a joke. "Have your say" and the entire survey is just questions about after we pull out of the CPP.
YOU HAVE NO MANDATE FROM THE VOTERS TO PULL US OUT OF THE CPP.
Either run a referendum now or call an election and ask voters at the polls.

Wow. Freeland just roasts that little twerp. It's telling that after the Convoy party asks a question, their followup is to scream over the answer as one. It's because they don't want anyone to hear how easily their hatemongering falls apart when faced with facts.

Again, your party has been the one in power 46 out of the past 50 years and our healthcare has been going steadily downhill with the decline accelerating the past 4 years in particular. Logic tells us you're the problem, not the solution.
@IPCoachZ
I've been somewhat isolated from that nutbaggery but once I ventured to look what Albertans on FB were posting, it was stunned by the stupid on public display.

@JustinTrudeau
No one is asking for this. If you thought this was a winning idea that Albertans were clamoring for, you would have ran on it during the election.
You didn't because you know it's a non-starter.
Quit trying to steal our pensions to use as your political slush fund.
@w_terrence
Huh. To me it just serves as a reminder that these rallies are super spreader events and have led directly to the deaths of almost a thousand. But I`m Canadian. That's none of my business.
@UCPCaucus
The NDP has been restrained considering the tremendous anger Albertans feel towards the way your party is firing our teachers, firing our nurses, driving our doctors out of the province all while claiming poverty and giving away billions to oil companies and other corps.
@edmontonjournal
If the UCP did their damn job, paid municipal taxes owing and properly funded our cities and towns, this wouldn't even be a discussion. I trust the UCP with spending federal dollars about as much as I trust Facebook's privacy settings.
@CTVCalgary
Huh. So they do remember how to do their jobs. Because there's a blockade a Coutts that could use removing right about now. Or do they just break up gatherings if they're homeless or indigenous? I'm confused.
I've always considered Rebel Media a hate group with a blog. It's far past time they should be officially classified as such and anyone financially supporting them should be charged with providing funding to a banned hate group.

The division that Trudeau caused? Did you go through a different election then the one I watched? Because, by my recollection it was YOU and your party that were all about the negative ads and outright lies. Just resign already. We know it's coming. Get it over with.

@WBrettWilson
So, he's effectively going to become a gatekeeper then? Nothing says "Freedom" like banning MP's from taking take part in discussions around how we can work together to improve the world. I wonder if this would apply to just MP's? Former MP's? All Canadians? Former PM's? 😅

And if it's about "parental rights" in schools, why do half the protestors have anti-Trudeau signs. The federal gov has nothing to do with schools or curriculums. That's all provincial. Almost as if "parental rights" aren't what this is about...
@JasonSCampbell
Wow. Never heard of Newsmax before. That was freakin' unhinged. Maybe it's just being Canadian, but I've never seen a TV host react that angrily to what could potentially be an opposing viewpoint. Is this normal for political discourse in the US?
