Taxes are a scam. Inflation is a stealth tax. Bitcoin fixes this. npub1pww7030g95nv9ptfpgfu69jpfxj6pm33xxueztsupwekce45wx4sm6en60

@tdryja Not necessarily. Any output from a transaction that is invalid on the minority fork also makes all descending transactions invalid. If you make one tx that is invalid, you could easily seed a lot of replay protection from its outputs. Another reason for coinjoins. ;-)

Absolutely mindblowing! 40,000 BTC fresh inputs coinjoined in 1 year ~4 billion dollars worth of Bitcoin by one guy running a coordinator. And they say Wasabi Wallet is dead 🤣
Update on liquidity: Since this time last year, my coordinator node has coinjoined more than 325,000+ BTC. (That's $30 billion).

Update on liquidity: The zkSNACKs coordinator had 2573.57 new BTC coinjoined in Dec 2023. The price was ~$42k. My decentralized coordinator had 2606.06 new BTC coinjoined in the past 30 days. The price is >$100k. The price grows, but Bitcoin's privacy community doesn't shrink.

Thread 🧵 1/9 Bitcoiners: it’s time to let our voices be heard. Companies that shotgun-KYC and flag coinjoined coins are killing Bitcoin’s soul. If we stay silent, surveillance becomes the default and “freedom money” dies. We can’t let that happen

Politicians are worse than just empty vessels: "I don't know" was a choice offered to them, but they confidently and overwhelmingly chose the wrong answer.
HOW SMART ARE POLITICIANS? In 2012, 97 British MPs were asked this probability problem: “if you flip a coin twice, what is the probability of getting two heads?” Among Conservative politicians, 47% gave the wrong answer. Of the 44 Labour MPs asked, 77% answered incorrectly

Owning Bitcoin is cool because it's like an invisible, divisible Rolex.
Owning a Rolex is cool because I can fly to any city on earth, go through customs no questions asked then sell it for enough cash to live for a few months. I don’t think I’ll ever need to do this, but that is genuine utility

Imagine being mad about btc privacy but the bank has every credit card transaction you have ever made and is more than happy to give it to the government. Use liquid or coinjoins. Offchain and onchain solutions exist.

1 year later: we now have two compatible implementations supporting 0-fee channels (eclair and LDK) and the spec is final: https://t.co/tPjs6YdkQc Huge thanks to @glozow and @theinstagibbs who made it possible by working on mempool policy 🙏

We introduce a new channel_type that leverages v3 (TRUC) transactions, pay-to-anchor outputs and ephemeral dust. With this change, commitment transactions don't pay any mining fee (in most ...
Say hello to the first 0-fee lightning commitment transaction, made possible by Bitcoin Core 28 (with v3 transactions and pay-to-anchor): https://t.co/SYuxTP3IzH This wouldn't be possible without all the hard work from @glozow and @theinstagibbs, and it will even get better!

@0xMert_ Every transaction melts all inputs and recreates completely new outputs. It can be used to make history uncertain. Look at @wasabiwallet it makes transactions with 100+ indistinguishable outputs
