I’m turning 41, but I don’t feel like celebrating. Our generation is running out of time to save the free Internet built for us by our fathers. What was once the promise of the free exchange of information is being turned into the ultimate tool of control. Once-free countries

@14g23h34 @adam3us @itme_brain You are dreaming. How many will go there just to walk around it. I would. So would everyone i know. It would be a running joke. Running, walking, biking, etc.

@namco_company @adam3us You can build zero knowledge rollups posting things like STARKS to L1 for data availability.

@namco_company @adam3us Show me where I'm wrong. I'm at a 100% success rate for evading filters. If you can stop me even once I will concede that filters work.

“So, Luke promised you spam free blocks.” “Thats right.” “But you had to compromise your cypherpunk principles?” "Correct." "And trust a guy who's software got compromised to the tune of 300 BTC." "Yes." "By running his node." "Uh huh"

Okay, v30.0 is tagged. Now that the [OP⏎ Debate|Bitcoin] is about to die, how about we pick something new to bash our heads in about? How about: - SENDTEMPLATE - TH+CSFS+IK - Consensus Cleanup - Great Script Restoration - Activate BIP 3 Links below.

nodes filtering spam doesn't and can't work for very easy to understand reasons: if you impact spammers or miners revenue they will just bypass nodes as they have in the past.

@parkeralewis @adam3us @darosior The emotional doomerism by most of the knots crew isn't helping anything. It's a permissionless system that can be negatively impacted by spam (to a lesser degree) and by the overreaction to combatting spam (to a greater degree).

Let's do the math: There are nearly 100 sovereign wealth funds globally, managing over $14 trillion. If just 10% of global sovereign wealth funds allocate 1% to Bitcoin? That's $140 billion in new demand. For context: Bitcoin ETFs have pulled in $163B total since launch in
damn. that's huge :) first EU country to put btc in sovereign wealth fund. 1% but price will fix that! https://t.co/72XNuG6n3F

@adam3us We won't be able to hold any international ETFs because of UCITS regulations, but we will be able to access various EU/UK Bitcoin ETNs, which must be backed by Bitcoin. On Interactive Investor today 17 of these products have popped up.

How big of a deal was this at the time? Did Luke lose much favor among other devs after doing this?

@parkeralewis Thanks for taking the time to write a thoughtful criticism. I think some of the points you raise actually apply to yourself. 1. This has been an ongoing debate for over 2 years. This topic has been debated at great length on various public and private fora over the years. Maybe
