“Hope is not optimism, which expects things to turn out well, but something rooted in the conviction that there is good worth working for.”

The Bears announce that starting offensive right tackle Larry Borom has been placed on the NFL’s reserve/COVID-19 list, becoming the fifth player this week on the team to be added, joining Artie Burns, Mario Edwards Jr, Eddie Goldman, and Sam Kamara.
@WGNNews
As a certain QB School video about Justin is getting lots of play in the last day, I went back and watched the old QB School videos from the Nagy era. Watch Justin' footwork, watch him not hesitate to throw, watch him not click his heels, watch him throw the ball over the middle.
If the Bears D hadn’t choked away the Ravens game, and if we didn’t get screwed by the refs in Pittsburgh, we’re in position to make the playoffs with a win next week. Sigh.
Guys, apparently if we draft a rookie QB, we’re going to the playoffs. WE SHOULD BE IN THE PLAYOFFS IF OUR HC WASN’T A FUCKING IDIOT WHOSE NONSENSE BLEW THREE FOURTH QUARTER LEADS.
I’m scrolling through Bears content and the usual suspects are complaining about winning yesterday because it negatively impacts our draft pick. At what point does one become a fan of the NFL Draft and not a team? Shove your “meaningless” tweets up your butts.
Has anyone considered that Poles is less concerned about what he can get for Fields, and more concerned that he gets the 1.01 pick right (interview & physical)? And if it takes longer to deal Justin he’ll live with it.
@jaketapper
@RepMcCaul
Jake, thanks so much for giving Rep McCaul, who voted against impeachment, time to air his opinion. Why should anyone believe anything he has to say?
Today on Bears Twitter, Bears fans complain about stupid shit. How dare George pick up Ryan Poles in person, wearing jeans, not wearing a suit, not sending a limo, greeting him with a handwritten sign, no flowers or chocolates either! 🙄 My God, you people are a toothache.
I just blocked a Bears fan as he’s a racist POS. We must stand up for each other & against the assholes. You come for one of us then you’re gonna meet all of us🐻⬇️
The funny thing about this NFL season is that it was built for the Bears to lose - very tough schedule - but faced Ravens without Lamar (L), screwed by Corrente (L), Special Teams were ridiculous v GB (L) - all three are wins with an average offense. That’s 7-6 & in the hunt. Sad
I’m a mother of six, and a Mormon. I have a good understanding of arguments surrounding abortion, religious and otherwise. I've been listening to men grandstand about women's reproductive rights, and I'm convinced men actually have zero interest in stopping abortion. Here's why…
After watching quite a bit of tape from this season and last, my comp for Caleb is a bigger Kyler Murray. Give me Justin and the draft picks. Bring in a professional center, WR2, move TE, and WR3.
I find that I’m disappointed about the Fields trade because I would have liked to see him play on a team with the talent we have now. That would have been fun. What a waste of three years.
Reporters trying to joke about the Bears being the “Michigan” in OSU-Michigan rivalry when talking about Bears-Packers.
Justin Fields didn’t think it was funny.
Bears by a million on Sunday.
@GOP
@SenTedCruz
Has Senator Cruz forgotten that he & all Republicans voted for a bill with no wall funding before the President* started this shutdown nonsense? Passed unanimously as I recall.
Deshaun Watson got sacked 7 times and still won against a great team. Great quarterbacks can overcome poor offensive line play. I think the people defending Trubisky need to realize that.

Name one Chicago Athlete that you wish never got injured (Derrick Rose is too easy)
I’ll start: TE Zach Miller
Strong blocker, fast, great hands, and a hell of a teammate.
Here’s a gift link to this opinion piece. The Child Tax Credit is a wonderful tool to help poor families get their heads above water, and I hope that Congress passes this legislation again soon.

report finds. The dramatic drop in child poverty in recent years is a big story. It confirms poverty is a choice.
Exactly right: “Asylum seekers actually are, by definition, “ringing our doorbell and entering legally.” They have the legal right to apply for asylum and get due process.”
"We need a high wall with a big gate on the southern border," says Tom Friedman. This take is wrong in numerous ways. Most of our problems are *not about border security.* Casting them as such helps demagogues and makes solving our actual problems harder:
