As Governor of Illinois, my oath is to the Constitution of our state and our nation. We don’t have kings in America, and I won’t bend the knee to one.

We're putting affordability for working families at the top of our agenda — that starts with lowering the cost of prescription drugs. We're also putting a stop to PBMs gaming the system and offering direct support to small independent pharmacies.

Even with all the chaos going on in DC, we're taking steps toward quality and affordable health care for all. This year, we expanded the Healthcare Protection Act to ban prior authorization for outpatient mental health care and require insurance reimbursements for travel costs.

330,000 Illinoisans will lose their health care coverage thanks to Donald Trump. And thousands more will see their premiums go up, all the while hospitals will close. I'll keep fighting back against this cruelty with everything I've got.

Illinois is building back stronger than ever — we're growing our economy, driving industries forward, and investing in our communities. And the results are clear as we call ourselves home to some of the best counties for capital investment and jobs created.

Illinois has officially ended the fiscal year with nearly $54 billion in revenue — the most the state has ever collected in a single year. We've exceeded initial projections thanks to responsible fiscal management that prioritizes Illinoisans.

Trump and his MAGA allies are making the richest people richer with a massive and unneeded tax break while making life more expensive for hardworking families. This bill will kick millions off of Medicaid, increase premiums for ACA plans, and raise food and energy prices.
