Another reason I like these kicks is because if the ball hits in the landing zone and then bounces into the EZ for a touchback, the ball goes to the 20 instead of the 35. Dolphins did this to the Bears on Sunday. These kicks are harder than they look though!.
I would like to personally thank the Carolina Panthers for using this bouncing kickoff in the preseason. Here is why I think it can work and why more teams should try it out:
