She only gone and done it! 🌹 After 18 months of hard work and dedication, @catkinson80 has become the new MP for Derby North. It was a honour and a pleasure to support throughout the campaign. So much of what I have learned has come from her.

It is difficult to accept the basis upon which these so called facts are presented. In modern times, the two most demonstrably unsuccessful Prime Ministers this country has endured are Boris Johnson and Liz Truss. No other Prime Minister, including Sir Keir Starmer, approaches

After winning one of the biggest landslides in UK election history less than two years ago, Keir Starmer became the most unpopular prime minister on record. But how did that happen? @lewis_goodall is on a mission to find out.

The most middle class people in the wealthiest, freest societies in history vote in leftist politicians who then fly out to lecture brutalised Cuban peasants who’ve spent their lives being immiserated under communism about why the West is evil and socialism is great

OM wins EM! Thank you so much to everyone in East Midlands Young Labour who has put their trust in me. I also want to thank @AaronTW16 for running a great campaign. He should be incredibly proud of the positive campaign he fought. The hard work begins now!

To any Labour member saying “we’d have won if we’d selected Burnham” Please stop It’s disrespectful to Angeliki, and to the volunteers who travelled from across the country and put in countless hours into this campaign (1/2)

Blame for Labour’s defeat lies squarely with Keir Starmer and his clique. They put factional interests over having the candidate best placed to win, Andy Burnham. If Labour is to be the “Stop Reform” party, then the leadership must stop treating progressive voters with contempt

Honestly I don't know what Labour's route out of this by-election aftermath is. Labour insiders are already putting the blame on Shabana Mahmood's immigration policies, but the problem is that if their response is to then tack leftward and soften the immigration rhetoric, then

There is no need for a "tactical vote" in Gorton & Denton. Voting Green just splits the Labour vote & allows Reform to win. Gorton & Denton is a Labour seat, with a 13,500 majority in 2024, & has a better Labour candidate this time. Labour has delivered 63 of 92 Election pledges.

Posting videos of volunteers of *any party* without their consent is a pretty shitty thing to do. It’s an unwritten rule in politics, perhaps news to people who are new to the game, but you never attack the volunteers. They’re the bedrock of our democracy.

No-one should take this poll seriously: -funded by a Green donor -incredibly small sample and half unlikely to vote -over-indexes green/Lab wards I’ve been door-knocking most days. We’ve spoken to over 50 TIMES more voters. V clear it’s between us and Reform

Gorton & Denton is a constituency of two halves. After thousands and thousands of conversations, the story is clear: only Labour has the breadth & depth to beat Reform. Voters are increasingly recognising that. See the whole picture 👇

The idea of an interim PM is a constitutional nonsense… almost. The precedent comes from 1834 when Robert Peel was appointed but was in Italy at the time. It took him three weeks to get back, so the post was held in the interim by the Duke of Wellington.

But the worst possible response would be to play party politics or factional games. Labour is only getting started on changing things for the better - our Employment Rights Act, renters’ rights, leasehold reform, free school meals and lifting kids out of poverty.  2/3
