3. Innovation demands courage from physicians + bravery from patients. @MarkDrazner emphasized the importance of finding meaning in work. As I shape my future career, being part of innovation for HF pts in dire need of better care sounds like a great way to ⬆️ meaning in my work

2. Transcatheter ventriculoplasty (i.e. via AccuCinch, MIRTH, Carillon) - early data suggests a global ventricular remodeling process (mediated neurohormonally?) can occur after a local physical cinching of the LV in HFrEF pts on optimal GDMT (below: AccuCinch from @JCardFail)

1. DPP3 = enzyme involved in angiotensin II & enkephalin cleavage ✂️ High levels are associated with cardiogenic shock, and early reductions are associated with favorable outcomes. Procizumab is a monoclonal antibody against DPP3 that is heading into clinical trials in Europe 🇪🇺

Stellar @SmidtHeart #research seminar by Peter Heeger, ace clinical #immunologist @CedarsSinaiMed. How to improve #transplant graft function? One promising approach is C1 inhibition, already in clinical trials.

Congrats to #INSHLT for providing education and improving awareness of HT in India. Donor heart use in Karnataka is only 15% due to lack of listed candidates, despite millions of patients with advanced HF in India! Great potential, with many unique obstacles ⁦@ISHLT
