It's the #NetZeroNE Summit today. And we have a room full of people who share our vision of creating a #CleanerGreenerFairer region. It's so rewarding to see everyone come together, and we've put together an amazing agenda to keep them entertained!

"They say it's just a drop in the ocean, like that's a reason to stop, but maybe they forget that the ocean, is entirely made up of drops" Perfect way to describe the impact we as individual citizens can make in the journey to #NetZero from @harryandchris at #InnovationFestival23

Joining other North East organisations today at @NetZeroNE's 'An Evidence-led Transition to NetZero'. Fantastic venue in the @MiningInstitute's @thecommonroomgn. Very apt for our need to lead the transition from industrial revolution to green revolution #DataScience #NetZero

Our new report with @kidneycareuk, shows some people are considering stopping home dialysis to return to treatment in a unit as they can't afford their #EnergyBills. Read the report here:

But now, I get a few days off before starting my new challenge, focused on delivering the #NetZero agenda in the North East. The messages I've had from colleagues and stakeholders will keep me on cloud nine for some time. Thank you all, and watch this space for what comes next!

This has been an incredible four years, filled with so many successes - both for the programme, and personally. I'm thankful to @NorthumbrianH2O for funding my work, and I can't wait to see what my successor does with the programme in the future (recruitment should be open soon!)

With average #energybills still roughly double what they were prior 2 the crisis this is not a punch the air moment but very relieved sense has prevailed & gov is shelving plans to make things even tougher for households from April onwards. #EnergyCrisis

New - the Energy Price Guarantee will remain at £2,500 a year for a typical household until the end of June. With energy bills set to fall from July, this change will bridge the gap, easing the pressure on families.

Myself and the rest of @NEA_UKCharity have been campaigning for this for years. Lots of hard work gone into it. Excellent to see, finally. The poorest people should not pay more for their energy.

60 seconds... Start the clock ⏲️ ✉️ We, and @Age_UK, are delivering an open letter to the government this week asking for a social energy tariff. But where did the campaign start, and what’s already happened? Watch @JamesTaylor2 explain.

Very happy to be speaking at the #WaterwiseConference this morning about all things #WaterEfficiency and #Affordability alongside some amazing speakers. It's very important we tie these two issues together to have the greatest impact and ensure nobody is left behind. @Waterwise

90% less than expected. Indications that EPG (at current level) redundant by summer. Headroom not just to keep at £2,500 but to do something about price differentials & accelerate debt paydown for most stressed households. Surely govt must do the obvious & affordable right thing

New Price Cap is £3,280 for April to June. New @resfoundation analysis shows this means: - the Energy Price Guarantee is set to cost around £1.5bn in 2023-24 - that’s almost 90% less than expected back in the Autumn
