We worked with other regional NHS Trusts in the Northern Clinical Waste Consortium to bring this innovation to the NHS. The reusable containers improve safety for clinicians handling sharps waste, and have ensured the safe treatment of 6,875 tonnes of sharps waste.

Our Waste and Recycling Engagement Team have been out about our City all week for National Recycle Week. 🙌 ♻️ They have helped hundreds of residents and children rescue more items from the rubbish bin. Remember recycling should be loose inside your blue bin, not in bin bags.
