Please, notice in yourself and others signs that are not “normal” and talk about them to someone... anyone. Help is available in lots of places start with trusted family and friends, GPs or work colleagues. #itstimetotalk

2 of 4 Now I know I was experiencing a combination of extreme stress, ptsd, hormonal flux and mild despair. This picture says it all and I worry for those of us going through the challenges of life and Covid now.

1 of 2 Three years ago I thought I was beginning to have early signs of dementia. My memory was failing me, I wasn’t sleeping well and I somehow felt I was living on the perimeter of life. I couldn’t connect and I couldn’t express myself.

Help me find the words to describe the Mt Rushmore speech. Unhinged. Contemptible. Disguting. Nightmarish. Horrifying. Frightening. Terrifying. ... (I’d love to add “ unbelievable,” but it is all too believable.) Happy 4th. Happy Sunday. NOT.

Thank you Brigid. Given the inevitability of criticism, whatever we do, being defensive could be a predictable self preservation strategy however now, more than ever, is a time to be clear about our positive intentions and vulnerability to getting it wrong.

Being vulnerable - means I'm exposed to being hurt. Yet, it also signals my openness to risking an emotional hurt, in making a connection with you. Who isn't feeling vulnerable right now? Leaders prepared to share vulnerabilities connect & build trust. It's about being human.

For some children physical distancing and isolation may put them at greater risk of harm. If you think a child is at risk of harm call @policescotland on 101, or on 999 if you think a child is in immediate danger.

With all the coverage about care homes I sincerely hope that this prompts a shift in culture. That we properly value their staff & our older/frail population. It’s heart breaking to watch but I’m also angry that it has taken so long! #COVID19 #wecarehomes

Wise words @jasonleitch (lockdown specific but applies to all decision makers) ‘Retrospect is a fantastically powerful tool. The amateur epidemiologists on social media have a wonderful luxury and that's they don't have to make the decisions’ #leadership 🌟

Do me a favour: if you know someone who has gone out socialising tonight, text them and tell them that I would willingly take them to intensive care in 8 days' time but there might not be a ventilator left by then, so it's up to them, really. STAY INDOORS. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.

Exchanged pleasantries w/ a tall, well-spoken, bespectacled man in a queue @WaterstonesYork yesterday who I should have asked to go for a drink. 🤓📚☕️ It was on the 1st floor at around 3. Are you out there fellow book-lover? (There’s a possibility I’ve watched too many rom-coms)
