Were I a House or Senate Democrat. , and I’ve been a Democrat all my life, I would in fact vote to keep the government open. The government closing in my opine is a huge Trump win. (Trump loves chaos, and this is a chaos moment. if the government shuts down. It will offer Trump

HOW MANY “THANK YOU” NOTES DID YOU SEND THIS WEEK?? (former Campbell Soip CEO Doug Conant sent 30,000 handwritten thank you notes in 10 years to workers, etc.)

@tom_peters Tom you taught me this years ago. When I was a CEO (1997-2003) our staff had individual small mailboxes. I scoured our 24-hour reports for good work and then handwrote my praise on a 5x7 card that said “A Note Of Thanks” atop. Vital.

@tom_peters I'd add that the importance of please, sorry and thank you cannot be underestimated. Thank you for reminding me of this again :)

@tom_peters So true. In my 20s I met a political strategist who told me people like two things: to be asked and to be thanked. It's guided me throughout my life and I've passed that wisdom on to others.

VAMP is live today. Visa has retired its old fraud + dispute programs and replaced them with VAMP—one stricter system. From now, merchants flagged as Excessive Risk face fines, restrictions + mandatory controls. 👉 Book with Chargeblast to get your VAMP ratio calculated free.

This is a hopelessly arrogant remark. But when I look back at my success record, one significant element is that I always bend over backwards 10 times over to find an excuse to thank someone for something small. The power of thank you is truly limitless.

In the 1970s, CEOs made about 20 to 30 times more than their workers. Today, CEOs can make over 1,000 times more than their median worker – as is the case of the CEO of Starbucks, who makes 6,666 more than the company’s median worker. We need this bill now more than ever.
NEW: This week, @RepRashida and @SenSanders introduced the Tax Excessive CEO Pay Act, which would raise taxes on corporations that pay their CEOs over 50x their typical worker pay. In a recent poll, 80% of likely U.S. voters voiced support for this idea.

The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion, after getting $1.2 trillion richer over the past year alone. Meanwhile, the rest of the country is getting squeezed by tariffs and high prices for groceries, utilities, and health care. The system is broken.

Starting November 1st, New Mexico will become the first state to offer free universal childcare to all its residents. It's expected to save families over $12,000 per child annually. This is a huge step forward — and a reminder that we have the power to fix the system.

@tom_peters @DanielPink It might be interesting to note, that EQ opens up the doors to CQ which I call Collective Quotient. But what stands in the way, is the ability to see holes or limits in the IQ due to inadequate EQ. Love, caring and kindness bends the rules. Zen.

Why settle for one NAD+ booster when you can have it all? NMN, NR, Trigonelline, and direct NAD+ - all in one powerful formula. Get the complete NAD+ boost without the trade-offs.

@tom_peters Following your suggestion, I started reading Careless People amazing revelations about Zuckerberg's leadership style, and that tale of work-related stress after motherhood is incredible! Another layer is added when Meta's rejoinder is mentioned in the Guardian review. How much

Walmart spent $35.3B on stock buybacks from 2019 to 2024, enough to give each of its 2.2M employees annual bonuses of $2,719. Last year, Walmart CEO Doug McMillon pocketed $27.4M — 930x the company's median employee pay of just $29,469. Textbook corporate greed.

In the 1920s, the Russian émigré Serge Voronoff gained fame by grafting monkey testicular tissue into elderly men to restore their strength and potency. In the 1930s, thousands of men received this rejuvenation treatment, and Voronoff became known as the “monkey gland man.”

Start modeling empathy and kindness with children and assure them of its value when they see selfishness and meanness rewarded by other adults
@AnitaBGreen @timglowa @DanielPink Amen❗️❗️A high IQ is a great gift from God (and your parents). But as you move forward in life, it is not enough. The winning hand is largely a product of caring and kindness and listening and nurtured relationships. And that’s “EQ stuff.”
