This hurts my soul to see Philadelphians waiting in the cold for hours like this to get vaccinated. Meanwhile in New Jersey, you can sign up through Virtua, go to the Moorestown mall site and get in and out in under 30 minutes.
The line at the Liacouras Center for the Black Doctors COVID-19 Consortium’s 24-hour, walk-up vaccination site wraps around the building multiple times. There are over a thousand people waiting in snow and freezing cold. People who arrived at 9 a.m. have yet to get in.

Dia Lee should still be here. She was killed June 2022 after getting hit by a car on Germantown Avenue after leaving her job at Uncle Bobbie's. This hearing is way overdue.
We know that since the pandemic, dangerous driving has come reached all time highs. Over the weekend, the city mourned the 115 pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers who have passed away this year on our roads. Last week I introduced a resolution to hold hearings on this issue.
