On my visit to Talladega College in Alabama, I had to make this stop. My great grandfather, Quinn Capers the 1st was the College’s night watchman for many years. His house is still in use on campus. #HBCU Legacy in my blood. @Talladega_1867 #BlackHistory365 #FamilyReunion

#HappyAnniversary to my college sweetheart. We’ve come a long way from when you used to smuggle food from your family’s kitchen into this starving student’s dorm room. #MealPlan #BakedChicken #HBCU❤️. 5 cities, 3 babies, 5 jobs later, we’re still cookin’. Thanks, Mrs. Capers.

Lecturing to HS students @OhioStateMed’s “MD Camp” is an annual treat. These teenagers got to hear about heart attacks, what they are, how we treat. We also discussed current racial disparities in heart attack care & they helped to brainstorm solutions. The future is bright!
