Huge thanks to everyone in @Lab_Pollen who contributed ideas and discussion and especially to @brainevodevo, the best coauthor anyone could ask for, and a huge support in putting this together during an incredibly difficult time in my personal life.

In parallel, we cover state-of-the-art methods for producing, growing, and maturing human neurons and assessing their maturation. Also, I would be overjoyed if anyone looks at the extensive supplementary tables I put together on this topic :)

Important thread about #LongCovid .While we may now have the tools to prevent many (though not all!) covid deaths and hospitalizations, it is less clear that we understand anything about how to prevent or treat long-term symptoms, which are not as uncommon in vaxed as we hoped.

Covid (@UCSF) Chronicles, Day 848.It’s been a few weeks since my last update – the flow of Covid news & research has slowed a bit. But there’s still plenty of questions that come up, so in this🧵I’ll answer a few that I get asked commonly, including how my wife is doing. (1/25).

Happy to announce the release of my work in the Komiyama lab, in which we try to understand more about the function of new synapses that form during learning. We all have an intuition about how new synapses change our brain and behavior (1/n).

Seems to be anecdotally true among friends and colleagues, wonder about time from booster vs virus itself.
