It was an honour to deliver my maiden speech as the MP for the area I grew up in. It’s the place that made me who I am today, but I refuse to solely talk about our community in the past tense. I will fight to make sure kids born today grow up in places of opportunity and hope.

Labour in Government changes things. After a decade of debate, I am proud that the Home Office has acted quickly to create protection zones around abortion clinics. We will always act to protect women from intimidation, harassment and violence.
