Today the Government have announced Fit for the Future, our 10 year plan for the NHS.

Physical activity is key to our 10-Year Health Plan. We are committed to getting more people active. We’re working across Government & with local communities to reform school sport, invest £400 million in grassroots facilities & make physical activity part of local health plans.

As the Minister for Civil Society it was such a pleasure to join Jane at the ACEVO Connected Leaders event, to talk about our wide ranging work on everything from strengthening our relationship with civil society to our upcoming national youth strategy.

As a brilliant summer of women’s sport starts, I was delighted to wish the Lionesses and Wales the very best of luck in Parliament today.

This is tragic news. My heart goes out to his family, friends and everyone connected to Liverpool Football Club and the Portuguese National Team.
