Today is Supported Housing Day. I visited the supported housing at Cherry Tree Court in Goldthorpe. Supported housing gives people freedom to live in their own homes but with the added security of living in a friendly community with staff on hand for help or support if required.

Alongside @zubirahmed I was pleased to visit Nethercraigs. It’s home to Pollok United, who have youth, women & girls teams, & a highly successful walking football team. It was brilliant to see the improvements to the site after they received £160,000 from the UK Government ⚽️

While I was in Glasgow this week it was a pleasure to join @zubirahmed at Crookston Castle. Volunteers like Brian and the friends of Crookston Castle work hard all year round & it was great to hear all about the castles rich history. Good luck for your fun day today!

We are investing in new indoor domes for cricket to grow the game in areas of need and boost women and girls’ access to the sport. It was great to visit the women and girls’ cricket festival at Sheffield Collegiate Cricket Club, which brings together four grassroots clubs.
