๐ Exciting news! Our final manuscript is now published in @NatureComms! ๐ We reveal that the orphan human SLC22A10 gene is a unitary pseudogene due to a fixed missense mutation (P220), while its orthologs in great apes (L220) are capable of transporting sex steroid conjugates.

(1/8) Do you eat enough choline? Have you even heard of it?? Choline is super important for the brain and must come from your diet ๐๐ฅ๐ฅฆ Here @Nature we show that FLVCR2 transports choline into the brain and use #cryoEM to show how! ๐ง ๐ฌ @pippomancia
