You spoke about being fair this morning @RishiSunak There is nothing fair about the treatment of #50swomen Many subjected to poorly designed job centre rules with little hope of employment. Please change to the rules for ALL 60+ @theresecoffey

Yet when letters were the main source of information in 1995 they couldn't be bothered to send one to #50swomen #waspi informing them of SPA rises which would lose them c£48k.
@paullewismoney How much money did it cost them to send a letter to every pensioner in the country, who knew they were going to get the WFA anyway. This government wastes money needlessly.

@dontdelay @Jeffrey62093861 @paullewismoney @ONS 'But younger people aren’t aware of that. It’s hard enough for them to know their state pension age has been increased' How can someone NOT know IN 2025? #50swomen

@realMaalouf Italian PM Giorgia Meloni is presenting a bill against "Islamic separatism." It plans to ban the wearing of burqas and niqabs in public places in Italy, with fines of up to 3,000 euros. Do you agree with her?

BREAKING: Portugal bans burqas and niqabs in public places, with fines up to 4,000 euros. Muslim men who force their wives or female relatives to wear one will also face 3 years in prison. Burqas were described as a ‘symbol of women’s oppression and a threat to public safety.’

This is capitalism. They want you to work until the day you die. They French workers have the correct idea by fighting to their last breath every attack on their right to retire at a reasonable age. Germans and British workers must do the same!

@Dmdav1 Your reasoning is flawed. When I started work 44 yrs ago I willingly paid NI and tax, recognising that some of this paid for the retirees of the time. Implicit was that others would do the same for me. In effect if formed a long term bond for old age. State pension is earned.

French PM defers raising state pension age from 62 to 64 until 2028 to try to cling on to power https://t.co/dCyN5CKwDF meanwhile our pension age begins to rise to 67 from April.

@paullewismoney @LouiseLee157850 'Steal' my arse. All you people ever talk about is the front-loading. You never mention the 3.95 extra years, at the back end, that the child born in 1960 might expect compared to his 10 year older sibling Over his whole retirement the former still has the much better deal.

Surprising stats - State spending on Pensions See the orange line third from bottom, that’s the UK State spending on benefits to it’s population remains some of the lowest in the developed world It’s unaffordable due to low taxation rates in the UK compared to other countries
Opinion | The pension bill, now making up almost half of the Government's benefits bill, is said to be becoming unsustainable for the Government ➡️ Read more: https://t.co/elhGI9Jxfi

It's hilarious to me that people can say. "Energy is too expensive, food is too expensive, rent is too expensive, my mortgage is too expensive." Then blame immigrants. What about the people who own all these things and who are making vast profits? Are they invisible?

@Hoarder55 The pension issue is underreported due to its complexity, political toxicity (both major parties resisted compensation amid fiscal pressures), and media preference for flashier stories—despite PHSO findings of maladministration affecting 3.6M women. Media/politicians use
