My statement regarding the events following CubeCon2023

Just got home from CubeCon. What an incredible, one of a kind event.
I had two goals: prepare the software for anything that might come up, such that being the on-call engineer I could still play in all main events, and try to spend time with cool people from all around.

It's a file used solely for development, and it's extremely funny to see it accessible in this manner - it should neither be there or be able to be served, and it's a sign there are other files accessible on the server that also shouldn't be accessible

While we had some differences while working together, I do wish JBro and BK the best of luck running CubeCon. The event was truly something special and I hope they can continue to capture that same magic. They have my full support. 4/4

It's false information that is actually harmful. "Votes cannot be cast after the Polls are closed" This is incorrect, as long as you in line before the poll is closed, your vote will still be cast. This is encouraging people to leave while in line, and is voter suppression

An incredibly heartfelt gesture. Bryce, who I met at least years event, went out of his way to set up a tiny leaders draft at an after party and slip this in after cleanup.

H1B employees are expensive and risky for a company. The only time they get hired is when the competition warrants it.
It is so very very difficult to find a job with h1b, those people work twice as hard as you and you still feel privileged enough to say you deserve the spot

My wife and I caved and did our gift exchange yesterday. She got me 24 various booster packs and we decided to open one a day. Today was theros beyond death - first time opening one of these packs and got a foil uro 😎

I recently got the gut wrenching news that my friend Jordan had suddenly and unexpectedly passed away.
I'm so heartbroken. Jordan brought people together in a way no else could have. He was a pillar of the Seattle MTG community. He was a boundless source of positive energy.

RIP Jordan, you will be missed.

Woke up to see this news, and it feels very bittersweet. CubeTutor has been an invaluable service to me personally, and I'm sad to see a pillar of the community go.

Cubeapalooza yesterday was incredible. Great to see many friends from in and out of town playing cube for charity.
I drafted three times, first two were from loam cube (2-1, 3-0), and then in top 8 we played

I succeeded in both these goals! I went 2-1 in every main event draft and had a blast. I played Cascade, Creatureless, Pulp Noveau, Eiganjo Drift, Tiny Leaders, and Amonkar Desert.
I also was able to see many friends from around the globle, too many to list in a tweet!

I have a dash cam, in Boston. One time it has bailed me out, another time it helped out a bicyclist who got plowed by a car turning left without looking. They're very cheap but can really pay off. Also a lot of newer cars have them built in now anyway
