I never thought I'd hear a politician in 2022 utter those charged words. Now we know it really exists, and it's not a "conspiracy theory".

I'll bet many unsuspecting civilian Ukrainians were killed by hastily placed mines and Ukrainian booby traps in the north of Ukraine during the early phase of the Russian invasion.
@JenGriffinFNC
The revolving door between the defense dept. and civilian contractors needs to be shut. Eisenhower warned the United States about the military-industrial complex.
@AZgeopolitics
The US bankrolls the gladiatorial arena for the benefit of spectators. As long as the fighting, weapons and blood can't reach the stands, everything is peachy.
@jacksonhinklle
America needs to focus on what it needs - manufacturing, energy generation, health, science, technology and engineering, and not geopolitical adventures and arms sales a hemisphere away from North America.
@Nick_Stevens_Gr
I thought a ring of large thrusters (akin to the Space Shuttle OMS) higher up on the spacecraft would be used for the final touchdown.
@I_Katchanovski
Zelensky can blame his overdependence on NATO for the debacle. Rather than rely on calm diplomacy and adhere to prior agreements, the road to war was taken believing that NATO would come through no matter what.
@AZgeopolitics
That not a speech for a Secretary of State, but for the Secretary of Defense.
The true diplomats in the United States have been silenced.

In a full scale world war, shipping and port facilities will be the next targets.
Nordstream was the first target, albeit self-inflicted.
@Zlatti_71
Because Sweden is in NATO, they have been given a license to obstruct and lie. The rest of the world knows how corrupt the west is, and should do everything in its power to divest itself of the west as much as possible.
@VDAREJamesK
The Vietnam War cost money and lives as well, but less costly NASA was a frequent target of civil rights leaders. John Kennedy's call for an American on the moon and the skill of engineers and interest of many taxpayers kept the moon program going through Apollo 17.
@johnnyjmils
The Russians warned for decades that issues on their border were in need of attention. When the US "promised" that NATO would not expand east, that assured Russia. When the "promise" wasn't kept and Ukraine was revealed to be the next NATO "domino", things turned sour.
@VeraVanHorne
One of the main objections of the traditional West against the USSR from outset was its anti-religious doctrine. With the restoration of Russia, Orthodox Christianity returned as a respected institution...

@wjmcgurn
Training in American schools is now focused on political indoctrination and action, rather than technical, scientific, manufacturing or practical skills that will enable the US to compete on the world stage.
@imetatronink
I think a major air attack (flown by 50% NATO pilots) by Ukraine on Russia will take place from staging areas in Moldova. Initially, air bases in Moldova will not likely be subject to attack.

"Globalism" is not the smartest idea. Once "they" have a lock on the world, grass roots and independence movements would be easily cancelled.

@Geopolitica81
Through Zelensky, NATO rules 80% of Ukraine. Ukrainians will tire of this and the anti-Zelensky partisan movement and operations will increase.
@KBoz3
The piles of bodies and limbs sacrificed on NATO's altar would affect anyone. Perhaps he had visions and nightmares of pre-teen relatives being sent to the front.
