In England and Wales, 143 people per 100,000 are in prison. In the Netherlands it is 65, and in Germany 67. We are not an obviously more violent or crime-ridden society than either of them – which suggests that there are many people in British prisons who need not be there.

PLEASE REPOST SO WE DON’T FORGET MY SON ALEX HENRY who is autistic and has been locked up for 11 out of 19 years. His role? Throwing a mobile phone. Many promises to right this wrong if Labour got into power @DavidLammy but my son is left to rot @JENGbA
“Alex has been affected by every problem in the justice system relating to ‘joint enterprise’ and his conviction is totally unsafe. It’s beyond me how he’s still in prison, morally or legally” https://t.co/FMP1Relkr1

It is beyond belief that, having had their claims of loss assessed, they are only being offered a tiny percentage of the amount. This is not meeting the target of ‘putting them back where they’d be if this hadn’t happened’. This has to stop! @PostOffInquiry @liambyrnemp

I’m sure it’s a mistake. Someone overlooked the facts. They didn’t realise the optic would be so awful to the public. Maybe they are surprised. Maybe after all these years the victims should be grateful. It’s wrong to treat victims this way. WRONG!

Leading Integrity Has the #PostOfficeScandal done more to reveal the lack of integrity in governance right across the UK than any other scandal? How many more integrity scandals will it take before we hold UK "leadership" wrongdoers personally liable? https://t.co/8d462cVvxC
